It’s Time!!
Do you consider yourself to be among the remnant of God’s chosen people?
Do you refuse to bow your knee to any other god? When it comes to your faith, do you refuse to compromise what you know to be true? Are you willing to stand up and boldly proclaim, “I serve the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob!” even when faced with persecution? If you’ve answered, “Yes!” then I have a message for you.
Just what, or who, is the remnant?
The remnant is a group of people who refuse to compromise their faith in Adonai El Shaddai, the Lord God Almighty. Noah and his family were the remnant of the first world that made it into the second. Caleb and Joshua were the remnant of their generation who remained to walk into the Promised Land. In Israel, there were 7,000 besides Elijah who refused to bend the knee to Baal. Nehemiah led a remnant of Judah back from Babylon to rebuild Jerusalem and the Temple. The remnant joined the Maccabees and stood against the Greeks, regaining the Temple of God and cleansing it of the abominations, which had defiled God’s Holy Place. The have been seen down through the ages by martyrs to the Inquisition and, indeed, all those who have been persecuted for their unwavering faith in the God of the Bible.
This is a sick world we live in.
Looking around at the papers today, we can’t help but notice that this is a sick world we live in. America is not what it once was. Neither is the rest of the world. As believers in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, we are shocked and sickened by what we see and we wonder, “How long will it be before the Lord gets fed up with us?” Surely this evil cannot continue much longer before He says, “Enough!”
But just when will that be? Many have speculated over the years, trying to figure out just how much longer we have until time runs out and the last trumpet is sounded. Many very intelligent people have spent countless hours pouring over the Scriptures, trying to discern just precisely when the end will occur. The one thing they all agree on is this, we are in the end times now, and time is growing short.
It is time for the LORD to act, for they have broken Your law.
(Psa 119:126)
This world has turned its back on the One who created us, claiming rather to be accidents of nature. We have refused to worship our God, instead claiming to be gods ourselves. The 21st century man is too enlightened to believe in silly religious superstitions, believing instead in only what can be seen and touched and what science can explain away. Unfortunately, most professing Jews and Christians agree with this world-view. This message is not for them.
This message is for those of us who take their faith very seriously. We are the ones who think about God when we are at work, at home, at play, all day. Our world-view is of the world to come. Our passion is for the Word of God. We long to be like Abraham and David and all of those who have been called a friend of God. It is to us that this message goes forth. It is to this remnant that Adonai El Shaddai says,
